For all important information please download the Jumpstart Preschool Parent Handbook under 'Parent Handbook' in the menu. For all other information and forms please check under 'Jumpstart Forms' in the menu.
You will need to complete an enrolment form and visit the centre with your child before any bookings can be accepted.
The enrolment will then be made (or you will be placed on the waiting list for the next available space). Once a start date has been accepted and you have paid your deposit you will be able to attend at any time with your child until they have settled in. It is important that everyone involved (child, parent / caregiver, staff) are comfortable with the child being placed into our care. It is paramount that children develop a sense of belonging, and bond with a special teacher; therefore it is important to allow enough settling in time for this to begin to happen. Some children will need a lot longer than others. It is recommended that you spend time at the centre with your child before the official enrolment date.
Please inform us of your child's individual needs so we can help as much as possible during this time, we aim for a smooth and easy settling in period.
The policy at Jumpstart Preschool is that all person(s) do their best to protect all person(s) from contacting infectious diseases. Therefore adults and children who are sick are not to be present at the centre.
Should your child become ill while in our care we will isolate them and contact you immediately. We will make the child as comfortable as possible whilst they wait to be collected. If it is an emergency an ambulance will be called, first aid will be administered and you will be contacted immediately.
We understand that as a working parent / caregiver this can be an inconvenience and for this reason we do not take the decision to exclude someone lightly. We follow the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health; these guidelines are displayed in the foyer.
